Men's Ministry…and he is an honorable man… (I Samuel 9:6)
The men in our church are truly a blessing. We plan retreats and outings geared for the spiritual growth of our men. We have men’s prayer meeting before all services. We are thankful that our church has men who love the Lord. Many of our men are trained to be soul winners, altar workers, and work in various ministries of the church. Our deacons will help disciple you into a useful, productive servant of Jesus Christ. Be a faithful man for God! Please see Pastor Hughes to serve the Lord here.
Ladies' Ministry…women professing godliness… (I Timothy 2:10)
Our church is blessed with some wonderful ladies. They keep a strong bond by going to retreats and having a special Ladies' Bible Study taught by Mary Hughes, the pastor's wife. Meetings and Bible studies on child raising and marriage are promoted. Special speakers are brought in occasionally to speak to our ladies for encouragement and edification. Please get involved with the ladies of our church. They each have something to offer to you, and we are sure you have something to offer them. See Mary Hughes or Sister Shirlene Barchus for a special time for the ladies that meet at the church monthly.
Youth Ministry ...Let no man despise thy youth… (I Timothy 4:12)
Reaching and teaching the teens at East Mesa Baptist Church is the goal of our Youth Department. We have dedicated teens that serve God in many different areas in the church. Activities are planned, and a solid Bible Study is conducted every Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. in the youth room (Building C, Room 7). We urge all 7th. – 12th. graders to get involved. Please see Brother Logan Garrison for more information and upcoming activities. Bring a friend to the youth group activities.
Keenagers' Ministry …when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me not… (Psalm 71:18)
East Mesa Baptist Church serves the needs of all age groups. Our senior Ministry is a good time of fellowship with church members of the same generation. The Senior Ministry meets once a month for fellowship and activities for those 55 years and older. If you are interested in this ministry, please contact Dr. Paige or Mrs. Paige. Seniors are an important part of our church.
Usher & Greeter Ministry …greet the friends by name. (III John 1:14)
The members of East Mesa Baptist Church want you to feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. The ushers welcome folks as they come into our church. Our greeters welcome you into the auditorium. Members of our church will help you in any way possible. If you are interested in this ministry, please see Pastor or Andra Jeffries. Skirt or dress attire is required for ladies, please.
Nursery Ministry Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones… (Matthew 18:10)
The purpose of the Nursery Department is to minister to the children and parents/guardians of East Mesa Baptist Church. Our goal is to provide the best quality care in a loving, safe, Christian environment. We want to teach the children at an early age about their Savior Jesus Christ. The ladies of our church provide the Nursery during all services. We volunteer our time to provide care for newborns up to 3 years old. Please see Mary Hughes or Liz Drury if you would like to volunteer for once a month. Screening packets are available.
Bereavement Ministry Blessed are they that mourn… (Mat 5:4)
Sharing life in death! Memorial and funeral services are provided to comfort the bereaved in their time of loss. Our church is blessed to have the opportunity to present the Gospel to unsaved loved ones. If you are interested in assisting with the services please see Pastor Hughes. We need help with special music, ushering, and sound board. Thank you. Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? (Matthew 18:33)
